There’s something magical about this time of year.
The Lunar New Year has arrived, and with it comes the promise of new possibilities. In Vietnamese culture, we call this celebration Tết Nguyên Đán—but it’s also known as the Spring Festival. It marks not just the turning of the calendar, but the turning of the season. Winter gives way to spring. The old makes room for the new.
At NUE, we’ve always believed that food is more than nourishment—it’s a way of honoring tradition, celebrating togetherness, and welcoming what’s to come. This season, we’re introducing a menu inspired by lucky and auspicious ingredients, designed to bring good fortune to your table.
Our Honey Lacquered Duck is back for the season.
In Vietnamese tradition, duck and sticky rice are celebration staples—a must for welcoming the new year. Families gather around the table, sharing dishes that carry meaning passed down through generations. The duck represents prosperity. The sticky rice symbolizes togetherness, the way family bonds hold us close.
Our version honors that tradition while adding the elegance NUE is known for. This Joyce Farms duck is fully deboned, lacquered twice in honey, and crusted with our house 6-spice blend. Inside: truffled sticky rice with dried persimmon and Chinese sausage. It arrives at your table as a centerpiece—an experience meant to be shared with the people you love.
Executive Chef Daniel Le has crafted new dishes that celebrate the Spring Festival with bold flavors and auspicious ingredients. Each one tells a story of tradition reimagined.
Les’ Phở
Our elevated take on Vietnam’s most iconic dish. Fresh rice noodles swim in a rich Piedmontese beef oxtail broth, topped with Creekstone Irodori Diamond wagyu and fresh herbs. It’s comfort, luxury, and heritage in a single bowl—named in honor of the traditions that inspired it.
Winter Chicories
A vibrant salad of chicories, kale, and bitter melon, brightened by mandarin oranges and dressed in ginger-raisin nước mắm with crispy pearled rice. In Vietnamese culture, bitter melon symbolizes the sweetness that follows life’s hardships—a fitting dish for welcoming a new year of possibilities.
Crispy Silk Roll
Delicate yuba wrapped around chicken farce, mushroom, and bamboo, served with shaved fennel, mint, and nước mắm. The crispy exterior gives way to tender, savory filling—a dish that rewards those who take their time.
Imperial “Thịt Kho”
A bold reimagining of the beloved Vietnamese braised pork. Our version features a crackling Berkshire Kan Kan pork chop with mustard greens, a jammy egg, and thịt kho jus. It’s the dish your bà ngoại made, elevated for a new generation.
Bánh Chuối Foster
Our Vietnamese twist on a classic dessert. Caramelized banana meets coconut dark rum caramel, served with gelato. Sweet, warm, and utterly indulgent—the perfect ending to a celebratory meal.
For those who want to experience the full spirit of the season, we’ve curated our Lunar New Year Celebration Family Set.

Our Spring Festival menu will be available through the season, giving you plenty of time to gather your loved ones and celebrate.
Because that’s what this time of year is really about. It’s not just about the food—though the food is delicious. It’s about the people you share it with. It’s about pausing to acknowledge how far you’ve come and looking forward to where you’re going. It’s about believing that this year can be better than the last.
In Vietnamese tradition, the first days of the new year set the tone for the months ahead. We believe that gathering around a table with intention—with gratitude, with joy, with people you love—is one of the most powerful ways to welcome good fortune into your life.
May every bite bring you good fortune. We look forward to celebrating with you. 🧧
